Carousell "Sayangi Malaysiaku" Lego Art At Sunway Pyramid

Merdeka in Malaysia this 61st marks a historical moments for the people of Malaysia. Truly because of the recent change that the country has went through and the unity of the people strengthen and reborn once again! This time Merdeka Day really feels like true Independence has been truly achieved by everyone!

And without further ado, Carousell Malaysia and Republic of Bricks (ROBLUG) together with Sunway Pyramid mall, has unveiled an array of unique murals built entirely from LEGO Bricks celebrating the country!

It is situated at Central Avenue in Sunway Pyramid, LG2. Directly in front of Nando's/Ten Years Restaurant/Focus Point, it's on the left side of Cold Storage, heading towards the Orange Concourse. Happening today until Sunday, 2nd September 2018!

So if you're over there spending the Merdeka holidays and weekend with your friends and family, please stop by to grab some photo opportunity that you should not miss! The Lego Art Exhibition carries a variety of Lego Art displays that represents Malaysian's Ministers making a difference today in Malaysia!

The highlight of this event is the Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah's LEGO mural where it is made out of 9,216 pieces of LEGO bricks and it is truly a feat not to be missed!

You must walk from the left to the right and vice versa and you will be able to see our beloved 7th Prime Minister with his lovely cute wife!

A total of 18 unique LEGO mosaics on display here, including murals of Syed Saddiq (Minister of Youth, Sports & Culture), Mazlee Malik (Education Minister), Yeo Bee Yin (Minister of Science, Technology & Environment), Lim Guan Eng (Finance Minister), Dr. Wan Azizah (Deputy Prime Minister), Anthony (Transport Minister), Gopal Singh (Minister of Communication) and many more, including the many faces of our dearly beloved Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad as from when he was the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia (since 1981-2003) and now as the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia (2018 onwards).

"Matching different LEGO pieces to build the murals resembles the diversification of our culture and races living together in peace and harmony. They were built by artists from ROB to convey their love for our country and promote creativity with bricks. We hope that with this initiative, more will follow suit and develop their interest by joining our LEGO community on Carousell." said Zen Chan Yang Shan, President of ROBLUG.

A total of 166,888 pieces of LEGO bricks were used for all the mural portraits displayed here at the event. ROBLUG is a LEGO fan interest and networking group that focuses on LEGO-based projects, events and displays in Malaysia, incase you don't know. They have gathered hobbyists across the country to learn and share their passion over the years and at present, the group has over 1,000 members from all walks of life.
