PETPET New Improved Diapers

March 23, 2019 1
Was at Mydin USJ Mall today and so happen it was the laucnh of the PETPET new improved diapers. Since I am currently expecting at 5 months, I decided to find out more about this new design they have.

They were having an offer at Mydin USJ Mall in Subang Jaya and the price is definitely affordable! I still remember my mom telling me that this brand has been around for a very very long time.

What I like about this new improved design is that it features a non-woven fabric and absorbent material that is very soft to touch. It's also on par with toady's trend in diaper technology on the 'Fast Dry' technology that also includes a 360' AirThru system. This gives me the impression that it really focuses on keeping baby's skin comfortable and dry while gentle on their skin at the same time.

What amazed me is that it can lasts for up to 10-hours a day! This is definitely something that caught my attention the most! Because most diapers lasts a mere 4 to 6 hours and some lesser, however, its subject to age and situation too.

But with their latest improved design and technology in place, their PETPET diapers from size M to XL can lasts up to 10 hours. Reason being, chidlren at this age tend to sleep through the night longer.

Their Newborn (NB) and S size doesn't have this 10-hours technology but it is still gentle to touch. This is also reasonable, because baby's and infant's at this young age tend to poo more frequent; Hence, it is best to get them changed frequently.

The fabric material is really strong as they demo on the stage today. Gentle, strong and best of all is that it should not irritate baby's skin, means it stays dry even when the diapers are soiled.

The design of their diapers are quite cute too! Different sizes has different animal characters that represents their cute mascots - Bunny, Bear, Elephant and Hippo.

And like most diapers, the waist guide is very crucial for us parents to know what size fits best for our kids. The indication of 1-2-3 on the waist guide means :
1 - Perfect Fit
2 - Good Fit
3 - Need to change size already

I was lucky to be here today and was able to learn about this new diaper that I may consider for my soon-to-be-born newborn. I even noticed that they have a roadshow on ground as well with games and activities for kids like face painting, lucky draw and even a free baby bib for customers.

Dodo Dim Sum & Bowls @ Subang Parade

March 15, 2019 0
It is truly a nice experience to be here to taste the first multicultural restaurant in Malaysia that offers dim sum and Thai delights under one roof! Am sure you will be wondering if this dim sum is halal or not?! But rest assured it is pork-free and as a Malaysian who loves my food bursting with flavours of asian fusion mix; It is definitely a joy to experience the best of both world here at Dodo Dim Sum & Bowls in Subang Parade.

The authentic handcrafted dishes prepared by Sifu Lee an his team includes a variety of steaming hot & fried variety of dim sum platters.

We were served with a refreshing Lemongrass drink that is thirst-quenching and cooling too.

These are the Steamed Dim Sum variety; Traditional homemade "Lo Mai Kai" sticky rice, Spicy chicken's feet, Siew mai dumplings, Minced meat dumplings with green chives and "Har Gow" dumplings.

Then there's the Chee Cheong Fun with honey BBQ chicken together with the deep fried variety of crispy mashed taro pie, "Woh tip" with shredded ginger and vinegar, Fried radish cake "DODO" style (this was bursting with flavours! Highly recommend this!) and also the Charcoal custard buns with salted egg.

For dim sum variety, it comes served with their sweet sauce and chilli sauce for dippings, exactly as how we asians love eating our dim sums!

If you're craving for Thai, Chef Khun Ben prepares a good array of Thai delicacies in a bowl that will suit your tastebuds as you can customize the flavours to make it spicier to your liking!

For their Thai flavours, we ordered their Thai Boat Noodles that is of small portions of the Nam Tok (rich dark beef broth), Tom Yum (Hot & sour broth), Khao Soi (spicy coconut curry broth) and Nam Sai (intense chicken broth). The unique part of this authentic Thai cuisine is, you can pair these boat noodles with some fried chicken skin or fried wan tan skin.

Their Thai Classics such as the Khao Klukh Krapi (fried rice with shrimp paste that is full of flavours, very tasty and also the crispy fried Som Tam to dip into their sweet & spicy sauce. Also their Gai Pad Prik Pao that is chicken wings stir fried with garlic, chilli and basil and served with sticky rice.

If your Thai food is not spicy enough or you want more garlic or even just to spice it up a notch with a twist of sauces, there's also 4 types of sauces (diced red chilli, red chilli oil, chilli flakes in chilli oil and fried garlic oil) you can add into your Thai dishes to suit your unique flavour.

For desserts, we enjoyed their freshly made Crispy Shanghai Pancake with lotus paste and Mango with sticky rice.

At Dodo Dim Sum & Bowls, they aim to ensure that customer satisfaction in the quality of their meals, is complemented by memorable moments that offers double the fun with both authentic cuisines in a single outlet by Ri-Yaz Global Food Brands Sdn Bhd.

It's interior decor in Subang Parade that has just newly opened recently, was really modern, bright, cheerful, stylish and colorful at the same time. A really warm and cosy place to dine with family and friends.

It was really fulfilling and nice dinner here because the portion size were quite generous! And being in Subang Parade, we were also just in time to watch Captain Marvel in MBO Cinemas and we booked ahead of time for our tickets. We even got to watch Dodo Dim Sum & Bowl very first advertisement on screen in the cinemas just before the movie starts!

Will definitely be back again for sure!

Merry Christmas with Da:Men USJ Mall

December 13, 2018 0
'Tis the season to be jolly! This Christmas, if you're too lazy to head out of town, then bring the whole family over to Da:Men USJ Neighborhood Mall to experience the Christmas decorations featuring the cutest and most delightful, Disney Tsum Tsum Christmas theme!

I had a really fun-filled Christmas moment at Da:Men, as I get to enjoy the beautiful decorations around the mall and the decorations are just too cute to handle! It's just too lovely!

We had a tour during my visit here and we visited this really chic Wunderbath handmade soap outlet that is wholly made in Malaysia and it's a really unique shop that sells handmade soaps of a variety of unique patterns, designs and themes! What amazed my most is the handmade soaps that looks and even smells exactly as it says, like the Oreo cookie, the kueh and so on. It is just mind-blowing!

We also got to enjoy a hand-on demonstration on making our own DIY bath bombs! It's quite easy too!

Next we visited the Christmas Trim Shoppe, a pop up store just for this Christmas season that houses a variety of Christmas decorations and gifts that you can shop for you and your loved ones!

You family will also be awed with a live performance of a group of girls singing Christmas songs on stage to entertain mall-goers. It really makes you feel like it's Christmas already!

Right infront of the stage there's a display of all the cute Disney Tsum Tsum merchandise that you can definitely get for your loved ones! They are just too cute to resist!

What is Tsum Tsum?
They are Disney characters in a shape of a worm where their face is bigger than their body and you can stack them up. Basically you can stack them up so they are called Tsum Tsum. They are also like the baby Disney characters.

We then had a fun time going round and round in circle in the Christmas Fun Train (RM5 per ride).

And after taking in all that load of cuteness, I'm sure you'll be hungry for sure! Hence, we'd adjourned to Morganfield, for a treat of their Christmas promotion!

Every Christmas, you will never miss the Turkey! When you see the Turkey, you will know Christmas is coming to town! And of course, not the forget the yummy load of ribs!

After pork-ing out at Morganfield, it was a good time to explore the other parts of the mall because they have a few floors and there's many hidden gem outlets in this area. My kids favourite is in Parkson where they can play whole day and don't get tired! It's free too!

So if you don't know where to bring your kids for Christmas then come by Da:Men USJ Mall.

The Summit Hotel, USJ Christmas Buffet Specials 2018

December 08, 2018 0
It was a fun-filled day out with my family at The Summit hotel - Oceania Cafe as we enjoyed a Christmas buffet special this season 2018!

Sometimes it's good to just bring the family out to indulge in the festive seasons as we enjoy the food, environment and the friendly services especially towards Christmas day.

Their Christmas buffet in The Summit Hotel actually carries a variety of food and beverages for your selection. Each one differently cooked to suit your preference.

For me, I love western food and for my husband, he prefers the local Asian cuisines especially the rice with rendang and veggie. My kids are just happy to eat whatever we can grab for them; Of course first preference is the western cuisine.

The Summit Hotel features their Christmas buffet special Turkey and Roasted Beef, alongside with the seafood platter and variety of cakes to suit the occasion.

Turkey was good, not too tough as how we know turkeys have really tough meat. I was able to chew it easily without feeling too dry nor have a hard time to swallow. The tip to eating a turkey is to have it in small bits and yummy sauce dipping. Which they did provide 3 types of sauces for your choosing.

The roasted beef was pretty good too, it was medium done here making it not too hard to chew but not that easy too. In between, but I like this kind of texture because if it's a little bit more cooked, the meat will be slightly tougher.

The seafood was fresh and served chilled on a tray of ice. Makes you feel like you're in the icy cold winter on Christmas Eve (like in the movies because Malaysia has no winter nor snow).

And their cakes were an array of sight and wonder, with so many variety, if you're a cake lover you would probably want to check this place out.

The local food here to my surprise was a real pleasure to indulge in. Even my husband compliments that their Asian dishes had a very flavorful and fragrant scent to each dish.

My favourite is the rendang with fried rice. It was just perfect!

They also serve soup noodles if you like something hot and soupy.

The ABC here was very lightly sweetened because my husband didn't add condensed milk so it was more like a syrup ice shaving than an ABC per say.

But it was good, my kids love it because it was not sweet, tastes of the pure syrup in ice.

Overall it's a great place to come over with family and friends for gatherings as you get to enjoy their Christmas decorations and variety of buffet spread here at :
