Grand Opening of LaLaport Bukit Bintang KL

January 21, 2022 0
A place where you should drop by to visit. LaLaport Mall at Bukit Bintang KL is now open to the public. The Grand launch in January before Chinese New Year 2022, was held at the WOW plaza and I was WOW-ed at the entrance!
However, stepping into the mall, many will realize the calmness and the warmth inside that it is very serene and feels good. Another reason why I am sharing how I feel inside is because I am an empath and I am highly intuitive, basically I have 6th sense and because here, it is clear. So rest assured. Because many Malaysians will know this place is actually where the historical Pudu jail stands.
However now this place will house this beautiful futuristic Japan mall, a serviced residence and office lots as well. Although I must say, not many shops are open yet, but many up and coming tenants to look forward to once it is fully opened up. I did manage to capture most of the outlets that has already opened during the Grand Launch.
I went there again couple of day back with my family, brought my kids over and they loved it there. Even though not many opened yet but it was spacious and bright. The rooftop is a place I look forward to because Coo & Riku the largest cat cafe from Japan is opening soon. And the Garden dining area at rooftop, although not many stalls are open yet but the seating area is aplenty and all designed like a picnic area for families or big groups.
The F&B area at LG1 on the other hand has lesser seating areas compared to upstairs rooftop (I think it's the 4th floor) but it's a good place for quick bites on the go. But there's lots of variety of F&B downstairs to check it out. Jaya Grocer is also opened downstairs.
Being a mall from Japan, there's also a few Japanese concept tenants in the building you wouldn't want to miss. There's Nojima, brought in by Courts, that provides all the electronics and gadgets in today's technology for home and personal or office use.
And also there's Nitori, a place where you can improvise and redecorate your household surroundings.
I will say all in all, a decent place to be at if you are tired of the malls in Klang valley, this mall will give you a fresher take. Because of the way it is built and it's interiors and brightness. I like how they play with the LED lightings too.
There's even a grand staircase outside that lights up and animates to the music being played.
Do visit LaLaport for yourself to experience a new shopping experience.

Family Fun at One Utama on a Saturday!

July 15, 2018 1
Had a long day today with the family! Brought my mother-in-law & my mom (my mom's birthday today too) to One Utama Shopping Centre in Damansara with my husband and kids.

We came to visit my friend, Carmen, at her "Tea Depot" booth at the Malaysia Coffee Fest event happening this weekend, it was so crowded; But I got to enjoy some really unique tea tasting and also indulge in the aroma of the fragrant coffee scents surrounding me. Also, it has been years since coming to this mall; So we just had to go and have a peek at the 2 interesting attractions here, the FlowRider and the AirRider. Both of which I won't dare to try, I don't mind just watching.

Then there was this cute lil GSC popcorn mascot walking around with free popcorns to giveaway. Apparently today was GSC Cinemas, Ticket to drive 2 on-ground Finale! I didn't stay to watch the on-ground challenge to see who will WIN the Grand Prize of an X-Trail and an Almera, I went on from noon till night, as I was about to leave they just ended the event. And I found out that, this was a continuation of the Ticket to drive event held last year. It is like a 1 year long on-going campaign that led to today's finale! How did they get so lucky!! Buy tickets to watch movie also can win big! Awesome!

Many of my friends on Facebook, knows that I've been wanting to try Honzu since I saw its cute video advert. And finally today I had my first taste of it! I like the variety that they offered, it's like savoury bakeries, where you get to pick Matcha flavoured to Raspberry to Chocolates. If you Buy 5, you can get Free 1 too! I bought 3 only and kinda regretted it. Because my eldest son helped me finished it!!!! I bought Raspberry croissant, Cherry Lover croissant and Original croissant. It's like having a crunchy sweet dessert on-the-go.

And also just yesterday after reading reviews and posts from friends on Isaac Toast and Coffee which is now opened in One Utama Shopping Mall, I just had to come by and satisfy my curiousity of this famous chain from South Korea! I had to find out what's so special with this "sandwich"? It may seem quite pricey but it's good for a first-time-in-your-life-try-something-new. It's not like you're gonna eat it daily. It's a great snack to munch on. My kids love it. My husband says it's unique. My mom and MIL says it's unique and sweet.

I ordered the combo RM20, a Chicken Bacon Cheese Special with a Yuja Ade drink. The drink is citron in soda, a little bittersweet because the citron is like the child to the marriage of orange & lemon. The Chicken Bacon Cheese Special is unique because it's bread is thick and it tastes like honey buttered egg toast, similar to French toast; The chicken bacon is really yummy like bacon but over here it is "No Pork & No Lard"; The cheese is parmesan I guess, at first I thought it was Cheddar but I couldn't taste the Cheddar taste. In fact you can't really taste the cheese, you can see it in its orange hue.

What is unique is the combination! Not the chicken bacon and cheese! But it has shredded cabbages inside with sliced radish that's already pre-marinated in vinegar, and the egg has corns in it! So it makes the whole toasts naturally honey sweet and flavorful. With each bite the flavours change a little, sometimes more cabbage, sometimes with the radish, sometimes the sweet egg with corn and sometimes the buttery toast that is honey sweet. Good try! Finally I get to taste this! Overall it's good for a once in a lifetime experience! If I'm back again I won't mind trying the Kimchi Bacon Special!

A Journey To Kota Kinabalu Sabah

March 30, 2018 2
I've always wanted to travel to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in East Malaysia. Now I may have that chance with my family! In doing so, I have to plan ahead for this journey especially with kids! Thankfully, with the help of other parents in my support group, some are even locals themselves who has shared tips and even places that me and my whole family will enjoy together. That being said, let's begin my journey plans and save it down here for future reference!

3. Little Hut, Kundasang (It's in the middle of a local village, best to bring your own food as there's nothing much to eat here at night but the Mesilau view is beyond words and the kids will love the hut. Best to stay for 1 night)

🏝 Borneo Kellybays, approximately 30km from Kota Kinabalu, in Tuaran. A beautiful place that is suitable for kids and it is special because it is the only Sabah nature attraction that lays between the sea and river.

Am Sande Cafe @ One City

September 07, 2014 0
Simple dinner @ One City. This place is basically a place for food. But not those kinda food that you can opt for daily. They have a variety but the selection is too mass and not one of the shops here are a crowd-puller. It's like you'll only come here for food once in awhile or only for certain food cravings.

What we needed today was a quick dinner fix for the lazy bums like us that don't mind spending.

Am Sande Cafe, just a few shoplots away from San Nae Deul at Ground floor in One City.
