Impiana Hotel Kuala Lumpur : Refurbished Rooms & Weekend BBQ

October 20, 2019 0
Impiana Hotel Kuala Lumpur launches their newly revamped suites of their Superior Plus and Deluxe Plus room that has been refurbished to stay up-to-date with today's trending interiors and design. Bringing comfort and style when you check-in.

During my visit there, I was really amazed by the new rooms where I got a chance to visit and find out what were the difference from before.

At the Main Tower with the Superior, Deluxe and Executive rooms are housed at; We visited the new Superior Plus room.

What changed was the bedding that is a Twin Bed, TV cabinet, the TV itself, the flooring, the wall decor and the bath. Previously it was a bathtub but they have since changed all to standing shower.

As for the Deluxe Plus room, the same refurbished has been done, with the addition of a working desk and the bed being a Super King Bed. With the space in the room, there is an option to also add an additional bed in the room as well.

I love how warm and cosy the interiors has been revamped into. The wall decor representing Malaysia at its best with our very our KLCC Twin Towers and in some rooms the National flower, Hibiscus.

Bathtubs are still available for sure, but it will be for the Club Deluxe rooms onwards. I also had the chance to visit the Spa and Infinity Swimming pool too!

And if you are planning a relaxing getaway from the bustling city or from work. Impiana also has great dining and view up on Cedar on 15 at the top of the hotel where you will be able to enjoy their Weekend BBQ Buffet overlooking the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur and especially the Petronas KLCC Twin Towers.

Cedar on 15, weekend buffet happens every Friday and Saturday night. A great time to spend with your loved ones on the rooftop restaurant and bar of Cedar on 15, away from rush hour traffic!

With stunning view of Kuala Lumpur city skyline, you will also be entertained with music that touches your heart from Harmony & Rhythm band. Diners will also be spoilt for choice through unlimited servings of a variety of meaty and seafood line-up such as BBQ Beef Ribs with Pineapple; Rosemary and Garlic Lamb Shoulders; a mix of Thuringen Chicken, Beef Frankfurters and Chicken Cheese Kransky grilled sausages with Onions and Tomatoes; Herb Lemon BlueEmerald Fish, Chilli Coriander Spiced XO Prawn Skewers; Grilled Butter Garlic Blue Crab and Fish Brochettes with Onions; accompanied with sides of Mac & Cheese, Butter Mashed Potatoes that was creamy and heavenly, Sauté Vegetables and Baked Beans.

There's also my very hearty tummy warmers like the Cream of Pumpkin Soup with Croutons (served on Fridays) and Seafood Chowder with Garlic Crostini (served on Saturdays).

Not forgetting the unlimited refills of beer and also beautiful array of desserts such as the tropical fruit platter, assortment of French pastries, Opera Cake, Bread and Butter Pudding with Vanilla sauce and four different flavour of Baskin Robbins ice cream to satisfy your cravings.

Hotel De Art at I-City Shah Alam Malaysia

September 04, 2018 30
Am proud to be a Malaysian and also to be able to grow up in Malaysia my whole life! Reason being, is I get to enjoy all the wonderful food, sights, see, entertainment, variety of cultures and traditions and the best part is the amount of new hot and happening cafes and hotels mushrooming around Malaysia!

I remember back then it was hotels by star ratings (even today also same) but today it is different. Now we have beautiful Bed & Breakfast hotels for a short getaway!

I've been asking for a quick getaway for awhile now. Before kids, I used to go to 5-star hotels for a quick weekend getaway with my husband. Just a breakaway from the bustling city and work place.

Today I finally get to enjoy my travelogue in Selangor at Hotel De Art, I-City Shah Alam!

At the entrance, I am amazed at the artistic design and the lush greenery! It may be not be real but it's just so comforting and inviting at the same time!

We checked in at 2pm and was taken on a short tour to one of a themed room "One Piece", great for couples, single, a company of friends for 2 or just as a business+leisure trip. The room was beautifully decorated to suit the theme exactly! My son would love it for sure! Only 1 king size bed and 1 bathroom, with a cosy lounge area at the entrance and a study/dressing table.

Our room is inspired by the movie Up! and it was bright and beautiful! The wall decor was amazing that I had to take some OOTD shots too!

The room upstairs is spacious and very cosy, you can adjust the air-conditioning; They have free WiFi access too for simple browsing online. My kids love watching TV so we kinda brought our TV box over because it's a HDMI TV and just connected to our own mobile phone hotspot for movie streaming in the hotel.

Snacks and food was readily available at the lobby, so we binged on some yummy snacks while watching movie together in the hotel room. Supper was also convenient, because there's the instant noodle in a cup and also frozen rice meals that they can reheat for you. I ordered the Nasi Daging and it was delicious!

Did my kids sleep? Yes, after midnight. They were too excited to sleep early but they knocked out at 1am downstairs while watching a movie (The Greatest Show) with me, so I had to carry them up. However, they were so excited and happy that they woke up at 7am! Just to go downstairs and sit on the sofa and watch movie again! So instead of watching a movie, I watched Yan Xi Palace! (Lolz, a now trending Chinese drama that is taking the internet like a storm!) AND because my kids didn't have interest in it, they fell back asleep on the sofa shortly after and woke up later at 10ish am.

We took alot of photos at the hotel itself because of the beautifully inspired Alice in Wonderful design at the lobby. It was truly a beautiful place to be, it feels like you're in some other part of the world or in a theme park enjoying a holiday stay! But you're actually in Shah Alam, Selangor.

The best part is the hotel is near to I-City Shah Alam area and at night, the NEON/LED lightings in I-City is definitely a sight not to be missed! Even driving pass without entering the parking/building is also satisfying! My kids were in awe at the splendid display of lightings here.

Incase you aren't aware, I-City Shah Alam has a water theme park inside too and many other attractions for the whole family! It's starting to become a theme park resort on its own. It's unique because of the wide variety displays of lightings that light up the park/whole area at night. And when you stay at Hotel De Art, it brings your holiday trip up a notch! Because this proves that you don't need to fly out of Malaysia to enjoy a beautiful place with a near and reasonably priced thematic hotel to stay. You can enjoy it right here in this beautiful country I call my home, Malaysia, only at Hotel De Art!

Overall I would say this is a short, easy, fun and memorable trip to rejuvenate and refresh your mind, soul and body! My kids love it, they enjoyed going up and down the stairs, they had so much fun that they didn't want to go home!! I had to head back to the hotel again after checking out, because my son helped to keep the hotel rooms' TV remote control in MY BAG, while packing to go home. Even the guys at the lobby front desk LOL when they saw me again (because I called to inform them about this funny adventure).

So if you're travelling with kids, please check that they don't literally "take everything" and keep in the bag.

It is located near I-City entrance (City of Lights), it's situated amongst shoplots rows where there's an SME bank at the other corner of the building and also an Indian fusion restaurant on the same row. Opposite the shoplots across the road ) best to drive across because the roads are having construction.

The price for the rooms are super reasonable for its beautifully artistic art designed! And each room is unique! They actually gotten young artists to decorate the rooms all 35 of them. They even have function rooms for rental. I would recommend this place because of the venue and also the pricing.

KLIA - Beijing, China (Day 1)

May 16, 2010 0
Day 1, 8th May 2010 - The beginning of the 8 Days 6 Nights (Beijing - Cheng De - Tian Jin) China Tour!

Today we met the tour group for the first time, from up to 10 different tour agencies, we were gathered by China Express Tours & Travels Sdn Bhd. Our local tour guide that will guide us to & fro throughout the whole tour is Perry. Very friendly and humble guy! Can't wait to book the next tour with Perry again... Two thumbs up!

Here ya go, pictures at the KLIA airport... Nothing special (lolx) but Perry assist us in going through all the airport procedures, staying there by our sides and again very friendly! Imagine taking care of a group that is unknown to one another of 31 participants! Well they did! Great experience and Perry has so much story to tell! I love listening to each and every one of them because it's full of wisdom and wonders! Makes me kinda eager to be a tour guide like him too hehe... ^^ (Ps. No, I'm not in love, I just admire him for who he is and what he does -nonetheless- Someone I can look up to)

Day 1 : Malacca Trip with Family

December 16, 2009 1
Hey guys! I'll be bringing you through to experience a "free & easy"  holiday at Malacca with my family!

Day 1 : 16th December 2009
Left home at 10am. My bro-in-law drove us to Malacca
(fyi, Malacca is his hometown)...

Along the way when reaching Malacca, I spotted a few buildings and some exceptionally cool "sky / clouds "

(I love the sky / clouds)

Lunch : Ho G Food Trading (Restaurant)
We had lunch here and it was around 2pm at that time. No, we just arrived Melaka and looking for the first food on our menu! Chicken Rice Ball! Yummy~!

(Sorry I'm not sure which location is this, too hungry to notice!)

After Lunch : Home Sweet Home
After filling up our tummy, we went to settle our bags in Melaka! Yay! Home sweet home~! Almost... We stayed at my bro-in-law's house (holidays and visiting only). We had to clean up around a lil' before we could actually settle in and then clean ourselves up... Because all the hotels were kinda fully booked and some are ridiculously overpriced. So why waste that kinda cash?! Luckily, we have my bro-in-law's own family home (hometown) to save the day! Thank You Raymond & family ^^ !
(Ps. I read Twilight -again!- the rest of the day before dinner)

Here's a sneak preview of ~home~...

Dinner Time : At Jalan Bunga Raya
We came here looking for fried "seafood" such as lala/balitong/oyster... We found out that the only seafood available here is "oyster"... Sad.... But we tried out the "Wan Tan Mee" next door while enjoying a packet of Fried Oyster... Y.U.M.M.Y!! I could hardly find "the" oyster but it definitely taste great! Even the Wan Tan Mee tastes great too! It's flavor is original and you don't taste much "Ajinomoto/Seasoning" like what we normally taste here and there in KL. To be honest, this "Wan Tan Mee" actually looks like the Sarawak Mee but it's not! Cool huh!

Night Time : Window Shopping along Jalan Bunga Raya
Yes, it is part of the plan, besides, there's like 3 or 4 shops around the corner that sells X'mas deco and it's very attracting and colorful! See for yourself!

The End of Day 1 - To be continued -
