Embarking on a family staycation at Royale Chulan Hotel in Seremban turned out to be a delightful escape, with lots of moments of joy and relaxation into our busy lives. Allow me to share the enchanting experience that left my heart brimming with warmth and contentment.

The mere thought of a break from the hustle and bustle of city life was enticing, and our stay at Royale Chulan Hotel proved to be the perfect remedy. Nestled away, the serenity of Seremban provided an ideal backdrop for quality family time.

Our visit coincided with the Chinese New Year promotion, adding an extra layer of excitement to our stay. It felt like a well-deserved treat, setting the stage for a family getaway filled with surprises.

Checking into the hotel, we were greeted with a warm and cosy room that immediately felt like home. The very night day, I truly enjoyed my à la carte dinner date with my loved ones at the hotel cafe. It was truly an array of gastronomic wonders, with each dish meticulously prepared and bursting with flavors that lingered on the palate.

After a good meal, the next day we were looking forward to spending time in the hotel together as a family. The following day commenced with a breakfast spread that left us spoiled for choice. Watching our kids indulge in their favorite dishes was a heartening sight. I must say, the breakfast buffet was the best starter that kickstarted our fun-filled family moments together.

As you can see, my kids had the best fun they had on this quick staycation over the weekend. Despite being an hour away from home, sometimes a break like this is needed to take your mind of things back in the hustling bustling city. Because time flies, before you know it, it is already 2024 and Chinese New Year is just around the corner! And because time flies, my kids enjoyed themselves to the fullest at the swimming pool! The following day commenced with a breakfast spread that left us spoiled for choice. Watching our kids indulge in their favorite dishes was a heartening sight.

The pool provided a perfect playground for the kids. They loved the bubble bobbling in the jacuzzi pool, they had many splashing fun moments. And these moments are priceless and not every hotel has such facilities available. We were glad that we made the choice to come here to this hotel for our weekend getaway. After having so much fun, it was natural to be super hungry after that. But we were glad because the lunch & even their dinner buffet spread was truly a feast! There was alot of variety to pick from and my compliments to the chef here. Everything was made to perfection. It was just properly well cooked, well seasoned and taste wonderful! Even my husband who is not a foodie by nature, complimented the food variety at the Asiatique cafe here inside Royale Chulan Seremban hotel.

While the food was truly worthy-mention, the rooms itself offered a serene haven for relaxation. My kids were well prepared for their trip. They brought their favourite gadgets, toys and unwind in the room. I should've brought a board game along, it would be so much fun together!

As the morning sun painted the sky, my husband discovered a nearby running route at the park. His breathtaking run amidst perfect weather set a positive tone for the day. The beautiful view and clear blue sky nearby the hotel vicinity is truly breathtaking in the early morning.

On our last day, breakfast became a cherished family bonding moment, weaving laughter and shared stories. Lots of photo taking moments and lots of food to fill into our tummy.

After bidding farewell to Royale Chulan, we took the opportunity to explore the nearby gems before heading home. From charming stops to affordable shopping places, Seremban unfolded as a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Seremban Gateway was actually around the corner turning in heading to Royale Chulan hotel. It was like a lifestyle mall with restaurants, cafe and shops that you can spend a day there. There was also Terminal 1 Shopping Centre, this one very legendary, I used to come here last time in my employment days to visit the mobile phone dealers there and inside there are lots of shops to splurge on. The one that caught my attention nearby is the Setia shop next to Mr D.I.Y. Where everything is at RM2.40. Talk about shopping spree weeeee~!!

But my kids since the day we arrived, they've been asking to drop a visit at A&W they saw the logo outside as we were heading to Royale Chulan hotel. So we decided on our way back, we will have our lunch at A&W that is just 5 minutes below the hotel.

Against a backdrop of clear skies and overlooking a serene lake, we had a family feast that added the perfect finishing touch to our getaway. Math Ace Family Boardgames

The topic many dread about! Maths! But every child growing up can never avoid this because it will eventually become a part of our life! Mathematics is one of the most important subjects worldwide. However, as a parent myself, I hate this subject alot! I slept through class all the time but when I was little and started learning maths, I only like mathematics when they did additions, subtractions, plus and minus. But anything more extreme than that I am out.

Well, today my kids have to face their own set of educational challenge. Especially now during the pandemic, things seem gloomy in homeschooling but I feel that it is a good change that we all should adapt. I wouldn't mind this as a new norm, it trains both the parents and the children to learn together. Now we know how challenging teaching children can be!

That's why I always find ways to help my kids learn, in the digital era we have to be creative but not rely too much also on technology. And since we're all stock at home, we need entertainment and edutainment too. That's why today I want to share about my latest purchase the Math Ace Boardgames that truly connects the whole family together!

Suitable from age 8 years onwards, my children who are all below 8, also have fun during playtime. My boys age 5 and 7, kept asking to play the boardgame together, they really love it! They may not know the real answer now because it is pretty advance the maths questions but there are answer behind that they can read and learn and try again to get the right answer next time.

In fact, it is fun because when you tabulate the scores, counting is part of mathematics too! My baby girl will just "shoot" for the answer but sometimes by luck she gets it right as well. I find this a really good initiative by Gregory, who is a father himself and I love how he made this into a fun boardgame that beats technology anytime.

I always wanted to get monopoly or twister and those old school boardgames to play with my kids but really, those are old school and sometimes it takes time to teach my kids how to play it. I don't have the kind of patience for that sometimes. But with this, I don't know why but even I get involved with them too. Maybe because it is something we never had as a child and we are also learning at the same time when we play the math ace boardgames, so it makes it more entertaining, fun and educational too.

In fact these aren't just the only ones, there are also other subjects that actually makes things more fun that I might get them too! Especially Science and English.

I also gotten these cute little Time Table Memory Card pocket friendly for my boys because it's handy enough for them to refer during their studies, doesn't take up much space and they can put into their pocket or pencil case.

I wished I had these as a kid then I wouldn't have to write them on my hand!! No kidding, my timetable is only until times 6, after that I need alot of brainpower and help! And it's pretty affordable too for 1 set! Worth getting it.

HP Little Makers Challenge

With the school holidays coming up, I had to come up with ways to educate and spend time with my children. Thankfully, I knew of the HP Little Maker Challenge that I took part in before; And it reminded me of the beautiful moments I had with my kids as we enjoyed special bonding moments together on the challenges.

Therefore, a little investment is surely needed to have a colorful fun-filled time. Hence, I gotten the HP Printer Deskjet Ink Advantage 3700 just to print quality prints and activities for my children.

I have been participating in this challenge with my kids because of their wonderful initiative for us parents to have an amazing chance to bond with our little ones! Incase you didn't know, the HP Little Makers Challenge is a platform and contest designed for children to experience immersive learning with the HP Printer Deskjet Ink Advantage 3700.

This initiative is meant for parents and schools to work with children on the challenges that is designed to reinvent the way children learn through experiences and exploring various ways to help our children shine!

I participated in it with my child and although we didn't win, we actually have already won each another heart. It has helped strengthen our bonding moments together. Not only the love between us is stronger but I was able to really see my son for who he truly is and watch him learn and grow. It is more rewarding than any gift that the world could gift to me.

The challenges were pretty easy to follow because of the simple step by step instructions. It was really educational at the same time for both the parent and child. I never had the chance to do such activity when I was growing up, and even I learned how to be creative through these challenges by HP.

In total there are 8 weeks of challenges that we can partake in. Then there's a chance to win the winning prize that is really worth value for money! It's a bonus to me because being able to have quality time and fun with your loved ones, is the best prize any parent could ever ask for.

After completing all these challenges, the next we will do is our own Dreamboard building. To remind us that we have dreams and we can achieve it if we want to!

KidZania Kuala Lumpur Celebrates their 7th Bubbly Anniversary!

When it comes to celebration of any kind, it is definitely the most exciting one. And at KidZania it is even more exciting as this year 2019 marks their 7th year Anniversary in existence as the ultimate edutainment centre in Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur.

I brought my son over to KidZania over the weekend to finally get his KidZania PaZZport and be recognized as a Naturalized CitiZen, at the same time I wanted him to deposit his KidZos into the bank. Over there, we were entertained with performances by KidZania talent crew and also the lovely birthday cake that has a number "7" placed over it.

It was really crowded too! Lots of kids joined in on the fun, whilst my son was a little shy at the beginning and he preferred to stay upstairs to have a bird's eye view of the whole event taking place downstairs.

It was also our first time meeting all the KidZania characters Urbano, Vita, Beebop, Chika, Bekha and Bache! The children at KidZania today definitely had fun, especially with the bubbles and balloons, as it was held infront of the Banana Theatre entrance.

The best part about the celebration is that, it is a month long celebration where all children can surely enjoy fun activities and games lined-up in celebration of the 7th Anniversary. Come to think of it, 7 years is truly a long time they've been around, I remember dreaming about coming to KidZania one day when I have my own kids and 7 years later I am here today with my eldest son that is finally of age (5 years old) to take part in the activities as he learn and gain new experience and exposures to real-life professions that remains today as a truly educational fun experience worth experiencing.

I also registered for the KidZania paZZport today because as members of the B.KidZanian loyalty programme called "CitiZens", your child could actually stand a chance to win some premium goods from KidZania Kuala Lumpur's industrial partners too; Such as Vitagen, F&N, Mission Foods and Emborg whom joined in on the celebration as well by offering CitiZen premium goods when they complete exciting challenges set up infornt of the Banana Theatre and take turns turning the "Wheel of Fortune" to see what prize they could get!

My son enjoyed himself today at his favourite job since he first came to KidZania; Canon photography. This time he was tasked to take the camera out on the field to capture an image of a venue where there were lights, music and where people perform like on centre stage. So my son just simply captured a nice shot of Banana Theatre, but he got it right at first attempt. When I look back at his first photo taken at Canon when he first came to KidZania and 1 year later today, he definitely grown so much.

Overall, I'll definitely be back again as my son is slowly warming up to this edutainment centre, where he learns the value of work life and spending or making KidZos money while being here. He also wants to buy the Crab Claw Stick Toy from KidZania Department Toy Store that is 300, so I told him to work harder and save up for it.

Today they even had new activities for their 7th Anniversary celebration such as :
- Making your own Bubble ArtZ
- Bubble Wand
- Faber-Castell Colouring Contest at the National Store

However, by noon my son misses his little brother and his father and wanted to head home after working at Brother's learning how to sew, Canon photography and Umobile Customer Service where he perfectly assembles the mobile phone battery, sim card and back cover properly without difficulties (and I never taught him that because he never used a smartphone or tablet in his life, atleast not so soon). So we headed back home with a big smile! He enjoyed himself nonetheless and I knew he was happy because today was like his special "ME" time with mommy only as we both "Learn Life Today" visiting the City of KidZania together.
