Cedar On 15 Gastronomical Experience at Impiana Hotel KLCC

It's the 2019 and this year, Cedar On 15, kick starts the new year with a brand new all-day dining options for guests with their three new menus that you will definitely have an amazing experience worth highlighting!


Cedar On 15, an award-winning restaurant that features traditional favourites and new creations by Chef Helmut Lamberger, Corporate Chef (WACS Global Master Chef), caters to today's discerning diner's palate with an array of cuisine, comprising classic European favourites that is rarely chanced upon outside of their country origin;



With new elegant dishes that is cooked and served with flair and Chef's Helmut's version of traditional favourites. We were presented with an array of gastronomical dishes on display that each carries a uniquely personal touch on every palate. Midday Specials - A good selection of refreshing salads, hearty soups, main courses and desserts that makes it perfect to have for lunch.

REFRESH | Fresh Cameron Highland Lettuce (RM34)
Air-dried beef shavings, compressed watermelon, grapefruit fillet, touille, mustard vinaigrette


ARCTIC | Norwegian Smoked Fjord Lax (RM44)
On pan-fried potato cake with garden greens, sour cream, beetroot and herbs


SYMPHONY | Sticky Date Pudding (RM34)

With butterscotch sauce

Social Bites - If you're one to savour in light snacks while enjoying a picturesque and breathtaking view of Kuala Lumpur's Twin Towers next to a bar or lounge, then this will definitely be your favourite.

If you've never visited Cedar On 15, then just like me, you will be in awe at your first time here. I for one was truly amazed at the way they served their food on the plate, it is of the finest ingredients in the most innovative creation that you can imagine. A true feast for everyone who enjoys good food.

CORAL | House-Gravad Blue Fin Tuna (RM66)
Pickled radish, wasabi macaroon, pumpkin, lotus root chips and lemongrass mayo

NORDIC | Scandinavian Shrimp Salad (RM44)
With turmeric foam, sour cream, salmon roe and butter fried toast
ELEGANCE | Foie Gras "Magyar" (RM78)
Pan seared French duck liver, apple-pear compote, Hungarian paprika jus, pomme de terre noisette
MOUNTAIN | Blue Mountain Venison Loin (RM74)
With green pea puree, caramelized root vegetable, juniper berry jus and crumbles

ALTITUDE | Passionfruit & Coconut Mousse Globe (RM48)
Drizzled at your table with hot chocolate sauce
On the menu today, I indulged in the finest cuisine here by Chef Helmut Lamberger and his entourage of chefs that prepared our meals today. I love how they actually named each dish that represents something unique about it, it makes it easier to remember what to order actually.

Today's meal we enjoyed a yummy appetizer, The Forest, Carpaccio of Portebello Mushrooms; created by Chef Helmut in 1991 that contributed to his team's success in winning the most coveted award in Australian gastronomy, the "Chef of the Year, Austria" award by Gault Millau. This dish has since been reinvented with new condiments and ingredients for an added twist to bring out new flavours and it was my favourite of all! The burrata cheese was with a more chewy texture that blends well with the horseradish whipped, rocket lettuce and the Portebello mushroom that was really potent in its flavour, yet, not too overwhelming! It's a perfect match made in heaven for sure!

For Soup starter we had Earth, cream of Kohlrabi which was very fragrant and tasty! I love how it tastes smooth and delicious at every sip.

With butter sealed scallops, baby greens and coral tuille

For our main meal, we had Regional, a pan-fried fillet of Malaysian Barramundi. It was really fresh and yummy with the blend of the sauce that made it even more unique. It is said that, in Cedar On 15, you will be able to taste a fresh fish and for those who are an expert in fresh food, they will also be able to taste how or when was this fish caught! That's how unique and special the Chefs here at Cedar On 15 are able to present their uniqueness and specialty to their customers. This is also a new culinary creations incorporate locally-grown herbs and mushrooms with ingredients previously unavailable in Malaysia such as the sorrel herb and kohlrabi, which is actually a tasty and crisp vegetable known as the German turnip. 

REGIONAL | Pan-fried Fillet of Malaysian Barramundi (RM64)
Churned with almond butter, artichokes, potato, asparagus tips, olives, herbs, lemon fillets

We then enjoyed a beautiful Passion palate of a medley of white chocolate and raspberry mousse with raspberry macaroon. It was a beautiful sight to see even to indulge in its beauty.

I always enjoy a hearty meal especially one filled with elegance, sophistication and beauty. And Cedar On 15, truly does not disappoint me. I love how they serve their house buns that may seems tough on the outside side but it's soft, tasty and chewy on the inside.


The best beverage to go with your meals, is definitely a good bottle of wine!


As you enjoy your food and wine, you will be entertained with soft serenade music from Cedar On 15, with the violinist who plays sweet, soft and gentle music that is like honey to your ears!


And if you'd love a good view of Kuala Lumpur's Twin Tower (KLCC), especially night view, this is the perfect place to be with your loved ones!
