April 15, 2019 1
Celebrate this holy month this coming Ramadhan by breaking fast together with loved ones and friends at Bangi Golf Resort Iftar Sesama. With a variety of dishes prepared by their experienced chefs, you will spoilt for choice!

With over 200 types of food from Traditional Malay dishes that may remind you of your moms cooking back at your hometown, to western dishes for a more modern palate of your choosing. The concept of Iftar Sesama is "Farm In The City" that features raw ingredients that are specially planted and harvested for Malay and traditional cuisines. What makes it even more special is that this year, visitors will be given the chance to pick some of the raw ingredients for the dishes straight from the tree.

Their Menu of Appetizing Tastes will surely leave you mouth-watering for more!

Nasi Kerabu with organic dishes curated by their chefs; Eaten together with serunding, coconut fish, stir-fried sambal gravy, fish crackers, fried chicken with spices and additional dishes like bunga kantan, kobis bulat, king fish, selom leaves, long beans and flavoured with slices of lime and chillies. Even the Telang flowers that give the rice its blue colour also comes from their farm.

Kambing bakar/Roast lamb on a pit with the Sup Kambing/Lamb soup is definitely to queue for and only available exclusively throughout Ramadhan.

You can also enjoy some family favourite chicken and beef satay, as well as fried mee mamak and fried kuay teow which are cooked in front of you.

I like their chicken rice there as it is cooked with a special technique with its chicken roasted in oriental BBQ sauce that brings out a very succulent, soft and juicy taste whilst the rice stays fluffy and full of flavour with the rich soy sauce and homemade chilli sauce.

There's also some Indian favourites to look out for like the chicken varuval, mackerel curry and mutton cooked in black sauce mamak style ready to be paired with steamed rice.

As for a more western cuisine, you can Queue for the Sous Vide eggs with freshly cooked Espuma mushrooms that you can enjoy with spaghetti or penne paste with bolognaise or carbonara sauce.

The above are just the main course, there's also a variety of sweet dessert treats that with tickle your tastebuds!

Like Spanish Churros, Italian Tiramisu, a variety of malay traditional kuih including kuih lapis, talam koko, cendol, kasui pandan, apam mekar, koci, pandan, baked green kuih, yellow meat rendang pulut, coconut serunding pulut, pulut inti, putri ayu and lopez pulut.

There's also a variety of cakes that you will surely be hooked one such as Bandung lychee cheese cake, pina colada cheese cake, blueberry crème brulee cake, red velvet Swiss roll, orange Jaffa Swiss roll, purple velvet and cream cheese Swiss roll, green tea cheese cake, caramel blueberry filling cake, chocolate cake with choco cream, chocolate cake with peanut cream sweet potato with tam, caramel mousse, G3 mousse, pandan gula Melaka mousse, cendol mousse, Ong Lai mousse, purple velvet yogurt and Oreo cheese cake.

Their fruits and beverage options are also sufficient for hot and cold beverage lovers with mango cordial, grape cordial, sugar cane, soy rose, flower tea, teh tarik, coffee and tea, as well as fruits.

Treat Yourself With Love at Bondahaven

July 25, 2018 1
Everyday we face different situations in our lives. Some may be nice and some may be nasty. Hence, it is best to learn to appreciate ourselves more and complain less. That being said, we should really learn to treat ourselves better; And it's not by eating the things you love, going travelling, taking a quick break or even just laying asleep in bed; Sometimes it's good to just lay down and allow a professional masseur therapist, give our body a good massage.

I used to hate and fear going for a massage because of scary stories I've heard before where some masseur actually caused more harm than good to the clients! The only time I ever sought for a good massage treatment was during confinement. And since then, I am convinced that a full body massage can do ALOT of things!

In case you are not aware, it is good to get a good body massage to rejuvenate and allow the blood to start flowing smoothly all over in your whole body. Traditional Malay Massage can help for relaxation and also for dispelling wind in the body. This is why it is highly recommended by many moms for those in confinement and also, as and when you feel like it.

At Bondahaven, it's venue is fully equipped with all the proper tools and spaces for a full head to toe pampering session. At the entrance I was mesmerized by its serene surrounding (also I love the pink interiors hehe). Inside, it's setting was really comfortable and welcoming.

They even have a breastfeeding room that is equipped with Haenim Sterilizer and 2 types of breastpump where clients can actually try and they can also purchase a new unit if they like it. (Bondahaven is also the service centre for Haenim brand products as well, mainly the Sterilizer and the breastpump)

If you have to bring your husband and kids along, rest assured that they will be entertained as well in the waiting room. There's a TV with a relaxing sofa and also toys and a tent for the kids to play with while they await for your massage session to be completed.

They even have a nappy changing room too. This is really good for families who just had a newborn in the family and for the mommy that I highly recommend to have a post-partum massage session here.

Traditional Malay Massage actually helped me to dispel wind and also reduce water retention in my body. It even helped to assist my body to self heal and prevent further cramps or numbness in some parts of my body, especially the muscle at my calf. A good masseur therapist will also be able to tell you where are the areas of your body where you should pay extra attention too and take extra care of it.

I was given a choice to choose the type of session I prefer, between a relaxing massage or massage to dispel winds and I chose to dispel wind from my body. My masseur therapist prepared "Juniper oil" for me while I checked out the products that they had to offer on the shelves.

Lots of variety to choose from and covers a good range from pregnancy right up till birth and post-partum!

They carry a wide range of eco-friendly products that is safe and natural for the mother and child.

VVVVV

Bondahaven is the first holistic breastfeeding centre in Malaysia that integrates modern science with the Malay traditional maternal care. Founded by Dr. Tengku Nur 'Atiqah, a medical doctor, lactation counselor, a mother of 2 beautiful children and an avid breastfeeding advocate.

Everyone who comes for a massage will be directed to the comfy sofa's (where they do manicure and pedicure here) to soak their feet first in warm water and sea salt.

Then we will be asked if we'd like to go to the loo first. There also a storage cabinet to put our bags in, where we can lock it and hold onto the keys.

There's different rooms for different types of massage services. There's also a room for spa, where we get to pamper our skin in a nice herbal, aromatherapy or milk bath.

In the massage room, a set of sarung and shower cap is provided to keep our hairs tucked in and tidy. So if you have long hair like mine, please tie them up. Oh! Before we entered the massage area, they provided me with a box to fit my shoes in and to wear their fluffy slippers.

My masseur therapist said that every massage session usually begins with a stretching method, like an appetizer to stretch your muscles to be on standby for the massage session. She even told me to let her know if I want to have her pressing my pressure points harder or lighter. I chose for a medium pressure before my session started (we filled up a simple form), she was really good! No pain and just nice the pressure against my pressure points. However, she told me that, I had to look after my back, especially my shoulders and lower back. I realized why I should look after these areas, because I've been babywearing my youngest the past few days for long hours.

My masseur therapist massages my full body, head to toe (excluding the private areas) and after the session I was given a choice (choice was given earlier when I was filling the form) to choose between their herbal tea or if I'd like to top-up to indulge in some Bird's nest.

So I picked the Bird's nest RM12, I had it chill and served to me after my massage session completed 60minutes later. I was left in the room to just relax, clean my hands and face with a warm towel provided and just enjoy my drink, after changing back into my outfit. I have to wait 2 hours later only I can bathe because it's good to allow the benefits of the massage oil to take proper effect on our body.

My session at Bondahaven was pleasant and enjoyable. Most moms will appreciate this special ME time just for you, your body and your being. Also, some valuable information for you to know; A percentage of their monthly sales will go towards selected NGOs that empowers single mothers. This is definitely worth mentioning!

Introducing Juadah Silka Culinary Specials This Ramadhan 2018

May 03, 2018 0
With Ramadhan just around the corner, it is now the best time to look out for the special Early Bird Promotions that's going on all around your favourite food eateries and especially buffet spreads at hotels too. Today allow me to introduce this sumptuous spread of culinary delights, the "Juadah Silka Buffet Dinner" that await diners at Silka Hotels Malaysia.

In Silka Maytower, Kuala Lumpur, the "Juadah Silka" spread offers a variety of unique traditional Malay dishes that is not commonly found elsewhere. Specially prepared by Chef Fazi, the hotel's executive chef and here with me during the buffet preview is the Sous Chef.

What's on the menu?
The Signature dishes are the Nasi Kabsab Kambing, Ayam Masak Kawah and Lemang with Chicken and Beef Rendang! It is a must-try!

I especially love the Telur Itik but it's spicy. Hence, the need for the telur itik because each bite of the egg and the yolk it blends well with the spicyness and it becomes a different flavour altogether! I find it really unique and I initially thought it was an octopus because it looks like a baby octopus head.

My kid love the satay, pisang goreng (fried banana) and also the keropok ikan aka fish crackers (again!).

There's actually alot here! So please, enjoy this 3 minute video (did my best to make it as short as possible) of all the delicious food that is available here at Silka Maytower, Kuala Lumpur.

April 27, 2018 0
The best time of the year is here again! Ramadhan! Why is it the best?

Typo lah... "Sebrinah Yeo" ehehhehe

Simply because I love how the variety of local Malaysian cuisines, some traditional and some modernized, comes together to break fast during Ramadhan.

Today I have my chance to experience #Bismillah Buka Puasa Feast @ Citra Rasa, Dorsett Putrajaya.

With over 500 truly Malaysian and International fare prepared by the Executive Chef, Chef Shamsul Rizal and his team; A sumptuous spread of authentic "kampung style" delicacies & live-cooking hawker stall will be offered throughout Ramadhan from 18th May - 13th June 2018.

Today I get to enjoy most of their specialty! Such as the Durian buffet, the succulent, sweet and tender barbecued venison meat, the beautiful spread of cakes, jelly & desserts and the amazing display of Kurma to break fast with.

Let's not forget the yummy local Malaysia delights, the Ulam, Pucuk Ubi Masak Lemak, Patin Tempoyak, Kerutup Daging, Udang Galah Percik, Kuih Bahulu Tradisi, Nasi Kerabu, Laksam Kelantan, Pulut Pisang and just so much more!

They had Cream Mushroom soup that was really rich and flavorful, buns, Quesadillas and Kebabs that I requested, for non-spicy for the kids (and me lolz); Oh! There's also a range of yummy snacks that me and my kids were pretty excited about!

They have a few choices of beverages too! And it matches really well with these yummy dishes. Like the cincau, lemongrass, lychee, sugarcane & etc; All of these were really cooling, refreshing and gets your appetite going!

Over here, you will see the "kampung style" dishes like the Ulam, some international salads variety, lots of traditional sauces & sambals to choose from, a very nice mix of western and local delicacies cozied up at this area.

The fruits were amazing! It's like a mini fruit buffet spread. The durian was gone in a jiffy! The rambutan, longan and pear was really sweet and fresh!

There's also a live traditional music performance by Isma & Sri Mawar Band that will perform nightly.

So how much is the price of this buffet?
RM138 nett per pax (Adult)
RM78 nett per pax (Senior Citizen and Child)

So better hurry!

(*Buy 10 free 1 is not applicable for Early Bird Special)

My kids were pretty satisfied too. Especially my eldest, he ate until his stomach was showing! He enjoyed himself here.

It was hard to resist the flavors of the spices merging together in all these dishes! However, I manage to try almost everything available! It was scrumptiously delicious and satisfying for the whole family! I'd definitely recommend this wholeheartedly! One time makan tak cukup lah ~

Purposeful Unique Products in TOKUYA Malaysia

January 28, 2018 1
Come this Chinese New Year, the best time at the beginning of every year is to spring clean the whole home! Spring cleaning is more fun when you get to shop shop shop for new stuffs to furnish the home with!

At TOKUYA in Malaysia, their newly opened outlet at Arcoris Mont' Kiara carries a concept of "Purposeful Unique".

Incase you were wondering, "Purposeful" is referring to their placement of their products to inspire people to make bold decisions and "Unique" is in the way no one can replicate how the brand lifts the spirits of people and brings people on a unique journey through modern & traditional Japanese via its product varieties.

It's concept is also similar to Japan 100-Yen stores!

The lowest priced products starts from rm5.80, rm6.80, rm7.80, RM8.80 and some premium items like lunch box sets etc ranges from rm50 to rm100+

There's a wide range with a mix of modern to traditional products from Japan.

I really love how some of the products are beautifully decorated and placed as if it was just meant to be.

These are my RM100 loot!
Chisel set rm6.80, Sealer rm7.50, Safety latch rm7.50, Veg holder for slicing rm5.80, Bag clips rm5.80, Cabinet lock rm5.80 & rm6.80, Bottle cover rm6.80, Rolling pin rm6.80, Laundry net bag rm6.80, Plate rack organiser rm5.80, Socks (for my husband) rm7.50.

Bumped into my fellow blogger friends Pivoine Peony @ MsShamWorldwide and Kathy Wui @ MouseMommyTreats while shopping!

Getting there is a lil tricky for me, because Waze kept taking me to a construction site in between Plaza Mont Kiara and Arcoris!! I ended up heading into Plaza Mont Kiara and the guards said I had to walk over to the building with black windows (across the construction site). So I drove over instead to the tall black window building.

Arcoris is a new building by the way with a mix of SOHO, residential, commercial and office as well.

You can Waze over at : https://waze.to/lr/hw28610kqe

After passing Plaza Mont Kiara, keep left and immediately after the construction site, turn left into Arcoris/Hyatt Hotel Lobby & Parking
