Berbuka Puasa This Ramadhan at Zebra Square KL

March 10, 2022 0

For the very first time, Zebra Square will be opening its doors to Ramadhan for a special berbuka puasa package. My first as well attending as I was surprised that they had this event upcoming, Zebra Square is a well-known event place in the hearts of Kuala Lumpur that many would have heard of or atleast came before once.

The venue may seemed discreet at the side of the busy highway but rest assured inside it can house up to 250 parking spots and the Ramadhan buffet package is pretty affordable too. The food variety is also aplenty! I have so many photos to show you but my phone crashed and I am only left with few photos instead, also special credits to Zebra Square KL Facebook page and to my blogger friend WendyPua.com who shared some photos we had together during this event.

However, thankfully we were there with a group of talented bloggers all across town and it was like reunion for us as my heart felt the warmth and joy when I met some familiar faces as it has been so so so long since we last saw each other. I bet this feeling will be surely met by you when you come and celebrate and break fast the holy month of Ramadhan together with your family, friends and loved ones.

The food variety here is truly authentic and I love how the venue and atmosphere bring up the entire place. It feels like home, cosy and serene. My favourite is the kambing for sure and the satay was a great hit! The meat was thick, juicy and fresh, not frozen. My favourite is the "masak lemak" dishes. I always look forward to this! I've been even craving for it lately and finally got my craving fixed!

It's a place that I will encourage you to make a booking in advance and bring your kids too. It's not too crowded even when all the tables were full that day, it doesn't feel like there's alot of people and there were enough food and beverages to go around. Very colourful dessert table with the different kuih muih delicacies too!

Truly a place that won't disappoint you and your family and friends. A great place to hang out with proper SOP practice in place and with amazing food to beat!~

I literally went 2 to 3 rounds of servings on my platter. The lamb is super delicious and the satay is really juicy and thick and even writing about this now is making my saliva drool! I miss the satay already! I literally tried all the different offerings here for Ramadhan Buffet and I love every single one of it!

Check out Zebra Square KL, you will surely enjoy it!

April 15, 2019 1
Celebrate this holy month this coming Ramadhan by breaking fast together with loved ones and friends at Bangi Golf Resort Iftar Sesama. With a variety of dishes prepared by their experienced chefs, you will spoilt for choice!

With over 200 types of food from Traditional Malay dishes that may remind you of your moms cooking back at your hometown, to western dishes for a more modern palate of your choosing. The concept of Iftar Sesama is "Farm In The City" that features raw ingredients that are specially planted and harvested for Malay and traditional cuisines. What makes it even more special is that this year, visitors will be given the chance to pick some of the raw ingredients for the dishes straight from the tree.

Their Menu of Appetizing Tastes will surely leave you mouth-watering for more!

Nasi Kerabu with organic dishes curated by their chefs; Eaten together with serunding, coconut fish, stir-fried sambal gravy, fish crackers, fried chicken with spices and additional dishes like bunga kantan, kobis bulat, king fish, selom leaves, long beans and flavoured with slices of lime and chillies. Even the Telang flowers that give the rice its blue colour also comes from their farm.

Kambing bakar/Roast lamb on a pit with the Sup Kambing/Lamb soup is definitely to queue for and only available exclusively throughout Ramadhan.

You can also enjoy some family favourite chicken and beef satay, as well as fried mee mamak and fried kuay teow which are cooked in front of you.

I like their chicken rice there as it is cooked with a special technique with its chicken roasted in oriental BBQ sauce that brings out a very succulent, soft and juicy taste whilst the rice stays fluffy and full of flavour with the rich soy sauce and homemade chilli sauce.

There's also some Indian favourites to look out for like the chicken varuval, mackerel curry and mutton cooked in black sauce mamak style ready to be paired with steamed rice.

As for a more western cuisine, you can Queue for the Sous Vide eggs with freshly cooked Espuma mushrooms that you can enjoy with spaghetti or penne paste with bolognaise or carbonara sauce.

The above are just the main course, there's also a variety of sweet dessert treats that with tickle your tastebuds!

Like Spanish Churros, Italian Tiramisu, a variety of malay traditional kuih including kuih lapis, talam koko, cendol, kasui pandan, apam mekar, koci, pandan, baked green kuih, yellow meat rendang pulut, coconut serunding pulut, pulut inti, putri ayu and lopez pulut.

There's also a variety of cakes that you will surely be hooked one such as Bandung lychee cheese cake, pina colada cheese cake, blueberry crème brulee cake, red velvet Swiss roll, orange Jaffa Swiss roll, purple velvet and cream cheese Swiss roll, green tea cheese cake, caramel blueberry filling cake, chocolate cake with choco cream, chocolate cake with peanut cream sweet potato with tam, caramel mousse, G3 mousse, pandan gula Melaka mousse, cendol mousse, Ong Lai mousse, purple velvet yogurt and Oreo cheese cake.

What makes this Iftar Sesama so different from the rest?
Basically when you break fast at Bangi Gold Resort, you will play a huge part in making a difference for something else altogether such as :

2. BGR Restaurant will work together with the Food Aid Foundation, to donate and save any surplus of food from the Ramadan buffet to give to those in need.
3. Throughout this Ramadan, BGR Restaurant will also create an Iftar Sesama contribution box for the people who want to donate food and clothing to the underprivileged, something that no restaurant has previously done before.
4. The surau has been made more spacious in order to accommodate a larger congregation comfortably while avoiding long queues.
5. The restrooms have had five to sixteen cubicles added and have been upgraded to 5 star facilities.
6. In addition, 800 free parking lots have been prepared for guests to avoid congestion.

Your money’s worth is also guaranteed as the Iftar Sesama at BGR Restaurant promises a gastronomic delight of a buffet that offers a wide variety of fine and sumptuous dishes. Ramadhan Special @ The Saujana Hotel with Tourism Selangor & NASOM

June 06, 2018 0
Selangor is a state on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, encircling the capital Kuala Lumpur. It is the most developed state in Malaysia; as it houses the largest seaport and airport, its infrastructure and communications facilities are among the best in the region, and there are great institutions of higher learning here.

That's not all, Selangor offers many fascinating and scenic destinations in the country. Perfect for everyone from all walks of life of all ages as well. I have been born and raised in this state my whole life and this is forever a place I call "my home".

Selangor is adorned with lush green vegetation that varies with the landscape and topography – from the coastal mangroves and verdant tropical rainforest right down to the charming fishing villages that dot the coastline, such as Sekinchan, Tanjung Sepat, Pulau Carey and Pulau Ketam. These fishing villages provide a unique home stay experience, especially for those who love fishing.

With it's wide variety of sights and see, the choices are aplenty for anyone who would love to come to Selangor for travel & tour. And I highly recommend it too!

Today's CSR event is organized and hosted by Tourism Selangor to celebrate Ramadhan together with The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) from children till teenagers/young adults.

As many of us know that the Tourism of Selangor has been putting in lots of efforts and even more so upcoming this year that will be placed in to encourage more investors to open up more opportunities and developments to attract more tourists to Selangor.

The Saujana Hotel is located at Jalan Masjid at Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang (the Subang airport road) in Selangor. It is a breathtaking 5 star resort style hotel that sits on a lush tropical forest and gardens with a lakeside view.

Taking its name from the old Malay expression ‘sejauh di sana’ which means 'as far as the eye can see'. We had a chance to berbuka puasa at the huge ballroom with its nice variety of selection that are authentic traditional Malaysian food.

The best part was after breaking fast at The Saujana Hotel Ramadhan buffet, me and my husband had a short stroll at the garden inside the hotel and it was breathtaking with the wonderful lake in the centre and a lighted up water fountain display in the middle of the lake that is pitch black at night.

It was peaceful, calm and serene. Good exercise too after a satisfying meal.

Wholesome Iftar Feasts This Ramadhan @ Dorsett Putrajaya Malaysia

April 27, 2018 0
The best time of the year is here again! Ramadhan! Why is it the best?

Typo lah... "Sebrinah Yeo" ehehhehe

Simply because I love how the variety of local Malaysian cuisines, some traditional and some modernized, comes together to break fast during Ramadhan.

Today I have my chance to experience #Bismillah Buka Puasa Feast @ Citra Rasa, Dorsett Putrajaya.

With over 500 truly Malaysian and International fare prepared by the Executive Chef, Chef Shamsul Rizal and his team; A sumptuous spread of authentic "kampung style" delicacies & live-cooking hawker stall will be offered throughout Ramadhan from 18th May - 13th June 2018.

Today I get to enjoy most of their specialty! Such as the Durian buffet, the succulent, sweet and tender barbecued venison meat, the beautiful spread of cakes, jelly & desserts and the amazing display of Kurma to break fast with.

Let's not forget the yummy local Malaysia delights, the Ulam, Pucuk Ubi Masak Lemak, Patin Tempoyak, Kerutup Daging, Udang Galah Percik, Kuih Bahulu Tradisi, Nasi Kerabu, Laksam Kelantan, Pulut Pisang and just so much more!

They had Cream Mushroom soup that was really rich and flavorful, buns, Quesadillas and Kebabs that I requested, for non-spicy for the kids (and me lolz); Oh! There's also a range of yummy snacks that me and my kids were pretty excited about!

They have a few choices of beverages too! And it matches really well with these yummy dishes. Like the cincau, lemongrass, lychee, sugarcane & etc; All of these were really cooling, refreshing and gets your appetite going!

Over here, you will see the "kampung style" dishes like the Ulam, some international salads variety, lots of traditional sauces & sambals to choose from, a very nice mix of western and local delicacies cozied up at this area.

The fruits were amazing! It's like a mini fruit buffet spread. The durian was gone in a jiffy! The rambutan, longan and pear was really sweet and fresh!

There's also a live traditional music performance by Isma & Sri Mawar Band that will perform nightly.

So how much is the price of this buffet?
RM138 nett per pax (Adult)
RM78 nett per pax (Senior Citizen and Child)
Buy for 10 pax and enjoy Free 1 pax!*

However, if you purchase now, their Early Bird Special is only RM99 nett per pax and only limited to the first 1000* tickets sold between 1st Apr to 12th May 2018!

So better hurry!

(*Buy 10 free 1 is not applicable for Early Bird Special)

My kids were pretty satisfied too. Especially my eldest, he ate until his stomach was showing! He enjoyed himself here.

It was hard to resist the flavors of the spices merging together in all these dishes! However, I manage to try almost everything available! It was scrumptiously delicious and satisfying for the whole family! I'd definitely recommend this wholeheartedly! One time makan tak cukup lah ~
