Empowering children to learn about our developing historical and archaeological, through innovative and engaging learning experience; Makes it all the more fun to actually learn them together with their friends, siblings and even family members at KidZania KL! The effort made by KidZania Kuala Lumpur to initiate this programme for children will surely help to pave the way for these young minds to explore and also raise awareness amongst them in the importance of history and archaeology. Through the various activities that will be held in KidZania Kuala Lumpur, it will further help to teach children to understand the past and teach them about the changes which will help their cognitive thinking skill, intellectual growth and the process as well as the experience.

The ArchaeoKidZ programme runs from 10-25th August 2019 to coincide with the school holidays in Malaysia. The programme is designed to encourage exposure to history and archaeology through hands on opportunities by learning how the world came to be with interactive workshops such as :

My kids will surely love this, basically you get to make a dino-shaped wrap and eat it later!

Another sensory activity that your children will enjoy learning the process of creating the fossil and also learning about it after.

McDonald's Portuguese Chicken Burger Malaysia

July 12, 2019 17
Every time I get hungry, I always treat myself to good food. This time around, I was attracted to the Portuguese Chicken Burger that was newly launched by McDonald's Malaysia as part of their 'Discover the World' campaign.

Inspired by the sights, sounds and flavours of Portugal, it really intrigued me to know how this burger will excite my taste buds! Because it features a juicy fried chicken patty that is dipped in a unique piri-piri sauce served with a bed of mixed vegetables and fresh lettuce. Best of all, it is sandwiched in between its brand new chilli flake bun!

After a long day out, my family decided to have a go at McDonald's Malaysia's Portuguese Chicken Burger that was launched as part of their 'Discover the World' campaign! Ordering was really simple at the self-ordering kiosk. We specifically requested for desserts after having out meal, knowing the fact that the Dinosaur McFlurry was back by popular demand and still available too.

A set of Portuguese Chicken Burger is served with French Fries and a Fanta Grape McFreeze or a regular coke, and it is priced from RM16.99. However, I am a fan of Ribena, so it was hard for me to not order the Ice Blended Ribena. Well, it's still under the grape family (hehehe)!

I love how the packaging looks like, because although it looks simple, it also looks very exciting, like something is waiting for me inside!

The colour of the burger looks super vibrant and fun!

The sauce was almost about to ooze out and it was very fragrant, to be honest. It is hard to explain the burst of flavours in the sauce, but its piri-piri goodness did stand out!

The best part was actually the crispy, super succulent and juicy fried chicken patty that left me wanting for more!

I loved it! It's was very different from all the other burgers that I have tasted in my life and this was really a one and only. Actually, it is very hard to compare because there's nothing to compare...
You just gotta try it for yourself!

Of course, we enjoyed their Dinosaur McFlurry and we all went crazy over it.

What's even more exciting is the new Augmented Reality game called Catching Nonando, in which  we would need to catch as many Nonando Chickens as we can in 60 seconds to collect points! We will also be rewarded with discounts on the Portuguese Chicken Burger depending on how many Nonandos we can catch! The best part is there's a leaderboard that will track the top players that will stand a chance to win 50,000 Air Asia BIG Points!

To play the game, you would just need to click on the Facebook link available on McDonald's Malaysia's corporate website or official Facebook page.

Bring Your Family To Ice Age Alive KL

July 14, 2018 2
Dinosaurs are back again! This time with Ice Age Alive in Kuala Lumpur. A good display of animated Dinosaurs from the ice age times located in the hearts of the city at Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTIC).

They've actually been around since May 2018 and will be here until December 2018. This is your one chance to come by, if you haven't, to bring your family and especially the kids to experience the era of the ice age with these huge dinosaurs on display!

As you can see in the video, these dinosaurs can actually move, blink their eyes and make sounds too! Apart from the T-rex that walks around the area, entertaining the crowd with its cute antics, there's also a really nice ice skating rink in the centre and a snow pool at the side for the kids to have fun at.

As you enter, you will see a nice cafe for some light bites on the left and a souvenir counter for getting some dinosaurs home for your kids.

Then there's the sand art corner RM5 for 1 piece with some educational informative posters on the wall on the Dinosaur era.

The Fishing Frog zone is right in the centre where you have to fish the frogs and see how many points you can accumulate to win something! It's RM10 for 2 frogs and RM20 for 5 frogs. I paid RM 40 separately for 5 frogs per kid and manage to collect 10 points for a mini toy Tigger for my youngest and another 15 points for a slightly bigger Minion toy for my eldest. If only I joined them together, 25 points would get me one of those huge Dinosaurs hanging above. And the BIG bears there's only 1 frog in the pool with the BIG bear prize!

They even have an inflatable jump house with a slide and an inflatable ship, which is free to enter.

The Ice Skating rink is RM10 to enter and if you didn't bring socks it's RM3 per pair of socks. Age 18 and below requires parental supervision in the rink.

The SnowPool is RM10 for 15 minutes and RM15 for 30 minutes and suitable for age 4 to age 12. Must wear socks inside the snowpool too. It's not real ice but it's really soft and fluffy, you can still feel your clothes slightly damp after playing in it, so bring extra clothes for backup.

When you celebrate your kids birthday there, the Ice Skating rink and the Snow Pool is covered for, along with the inflatable house and boat area. The Fishing Frog game and Sand Art is still chargeable.

However, the entrance fee has covered the complete experience as you walkabout inside from left to right, all the amazing dinosaurs life-like with sounds and motions; Which provides a good simulation and touch & feel for your kids educational journey into time with the Dinosaurs! Back then I only see it on TV, watching cartoon on Dinosaurs and never knew how huge it is in real life.

All in all its a good education with fun including for the whole family. My son who has never seen nor heard of dinosaurs, and gets afraid whenever I shows it to him at Toys'R'Us, is now in love with it after visiting Ice Age Alive KL! So bring your family over to explore the land before time. It's nice and chilly here, no need winter jackets. It's like aircond cooling inside, perfect for Malaysian weather!

Dinosaur Kingdom at to Setia Ecohill Malaysia

May 24, 2018 4
Back in the good ol' days, there were fun fairs and circuses to keep us entertained especially during the holidays. Nowadays, there's aplenty of theme parks dominating the younger generation these days. In fact, if you didn't already know, by year 2020; An estimate of 21 theme parks will be developed within Malaysia.

Brought to you by these young gentlemen (ahem...handsome jugak🤣), Co-Founders of Themepaktu

Did you know?
There's already a number of theme parks in Malaysia like water parks, indoor & outdoor amusement park, edutainment square, copyright-based parks, a new trend, lifestyle & activity-based parks and now the latest Dinosaur themed mobile pop-up parks that is gaining traction across South East Asia.

Their Dinosaur's are of amazing quality, waterproof and surreal! There's even 6 to 7 types of carnival games/rides for the adults and if you're feeling youthful like a teenager there's up to 15 types of carnival games/rides that you can enjoy! So rest assured that there's up to 25 attractions and maybe more for the whole family to enjoy together!

On average you and your family may spend up to 3 hrs of family-fun time together and majority are dry rides except for the Dinosaur Bumper Boat which is on water; so if your kids are super active, then bring extra clothes just incase.
