BOSE Branded Store in 1 Utama Malaysia

Today, as I was strolling in 1 Utama, I heard a lion dance ceremony nearby at the New Wing area and decided to hope over to check it out. Thankfully I did, because I spotted BOSE Single Branded Store that is now open in 1 Utama and Noriko Sdn Bhd, a Thakral Group company is now the authorised premium reseller for Bose.

After watching the opening launch of the outlet. We were invited in for a tour and it was a cool experience to beat as it houses a 'Demo Room' where we can enjoy the full "Bose Experience" unlike any other!

When it comes to music and sound, Bose is definitely one of the premium brands I look for in terms of getting the best quality to satisfy my music needs!

They have a wide variety of products that you can experience in-store, like the sound bar, the bass system and stereo surround sound system as well.

Even when you require some peace and quiet as you recuperate at night or on the go in a long journey somewhere to your destination, they also have this super cool QuietComfort headphones which blocks out noise efficiently and the Bose Sleepbuds wireless earphones that plays a sweet medley as you get a good night's sleep.

For those on the go, a good SoundSport range will definitely suit you.

They also have portable speakers that is pretty robust and handy to bring around with you.

Definitely a premium quality brand to look out for when you're looking for the best quality in your sound systems be it for home, in the car, on the go, in public space or even at work!

Who would have thought that from selling Preloved could turn oneself into a homegrown Designer Label for the fashionably chic and stylish trends today! Organized by Sneaky Zombie, in partnership with Carousell, Amber Chia Academy and The Imaginarium, presents FashFab KL, a quarterly fringe fashion night featuring homegrown designer label, Lily&Orkid.

At the event today, we were entertained with a wonderfully mesmerizing fashion show of Lily&Orkid designs. It was just beautiful beyond words, especially the detailing of each piece of fabric and design. It is all HANDSEWN, HANDMADE! It takes up to 1 to 3 days to produce 1 outfit and it's limited 5 piece per design.

A little background of Lily&Orkid an How it all began?

Nuriylia Insyirah began selling preloved clothes on Carousell marketplace. She manage to build her reputation as a top Carouseller with over 100 positive reviews by customers.

Just last year 2017, she teamed up with her friend Nadia Othman, to launch their own fashion line and since then, Lily&Orkid was born! They market limited collections of design and it is selling like hot cakes over at Carousell! Just recently, they sold over 40 pieces (priced at RM499) of one of these designs due to customers demand!

Today, they were given the chance to showcase their designs with the models today from Amber Chia Academy at FashFab KL, an exclusive fashion trunk show on Thursday, 2nd August 2018 at The Imaginarium, New Wing, 1 Utama Shopping Centre.

Who is FashFab KL?
It's a platform that allows budding designers and new designers to present their pieces directly to the public, media and industry insiders. Just like today's event, guests are given the opportunity to meet the designer in person and preview or purchase the displayed pieces on the spot! In future, look out for more of FashFab KL, as they will promote more local designers such as Nuriylia & Nadia to the public. This is a great effort organized by Sneaky Zombie along with the great support of the partnerships from Carousell, Amber Chia Academy and The Imaginarium, to further uplift and inspire more young Malaysian designers; In hopes that more corporations like them will follow suit to support their initiative.

Neubodi Breast Cancer Awareness Malaysia Campaign

Neubodi a lingerie specialist brand has officially launched its month-long “DONATE. SUPPORT. RECYCLE” Bra Drive campaign in Malaysia, which will run until 5th November 2017. This is in conjunction with the International Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Funds are raised via Neubodi’s “Pedal Forward” cycling convoy that concluded on 7th October 2017 morning during this launch weekend at 1 Utama Shopping Centre’s Ground Floor - Highstreet Concourse. They have managed to raised a total of RM65,350 within a month prior to today's event via Mystartr-a crowdfunding platform, that was being presented to BCWA today.

Recycle with Life Line Clothing Malaysia Sdn Bhd as they are the strategic partner with Neubodi on this month long campaign.

You also get to drop-off unwanted or used bras in the “Bra Banks” which are also located at any Neubodi stores nationwide.

Neubodi will donate gently-used items to victims of sex trafficking, enabling their rehabilitation into society as they earn a livelihood selling second-hand bras. Beneficiaries of the “DONATE” initiative are communities in Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, India and Africa including those in poverty for whom bras are sought-after essential item – providing comfort and self-esteem.

Bras not suited for donation will be collected by Life Line Clothing Malaysia, keeping textile away from the landfills. What happens then is, by using proprietary technology, raw materials of bras such as spandex, nylon, metal wire and plastics will be converted into reusable solid fuel commonly used to power industrial boilers and generators. This “RECYCLE” initiative is Malaysia’s first activity of its kind.

The partnership between Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) and Neubodi aims to increase public awareness that breast cancer is ‘gender blind’, and promote the importance of self-examination and early detection while raising funds for BCWA’s “Hospital Angels” programme. In this initiative, trained specialists will visit newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and help them learn to cope with the disease in an encouraging and positive environment.

The event at 1 Utama Shopping Centre’s Ground Floor - Highstreet Concourse will be until 8th October 2017. So you can still drop by today to check out the activities at the event. RM10 from every PINK BRA purchase will be donated to Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA).

TGV Family-Friendly Minion Special Sessions @ 1 Utama is the place to be for family with babies/kids! To be honest, this is my first time in the past 1 year I've been to a movie theatre since I was in my 2nd trimester right up till today where my son is now 7mo.

When TGV first announced this new Family-Friendly promotion at 1U, I was anticipating to experience it with my family 1 day and today was the day hehe. I basically was waiting for "Minions" to be screened at this hall in particular. Then stumbling upon a post on Facebook and saw this Minion Special Screening, I immediately spoke to my hubby (who was at work then) and purchased the tickets online hehe ^^
